Hi all, got a question. I got a 06 S.G. Lately I get Squirrely feeling on the rear at 50 m.p.h. + . Getting progressively worse as speed increases. Tire pressure is 40 p.s.i.on rear. Anyone here have probs with swing arm bushings? Rear axle seams tight. Any thoughts
would be appreciated. thanx.
There is some play in the dyna swing arm.......I can feel mine just on certain corners at low speed (<5mph) where it feels like the tire is breaking loose but it's not. But not on the freeway. Check your wheel & tire & alignment first. If you have more than 8000 miles on the tire that's probably it.
Handling irregularities:
1 improperly loaded cycle
2.damaged tire/wrong size tire
3.irregular tread wear
4. tire pressure front 30 rear 40 (take your front to 30)
5 bad shock absorber
6 loose wheel axle nuts
7 excessiv wheel hub bearing play
8 rear wheel out of alignment with frame & front wheel (possible)
9 steering head bearings bad or out of adjustment
10. loose spokes
11. tire & wheel unbalanced (very possible if you lost a wheel weight)
12. rims & tires out of round or eccentric with hub
13. rims & tires out of true sideways
14 rear fork pivot
any thing in there about engine or tranny mount? I will lower my front psi. I'm leaning toward the tire. If it were a car it would feel like a busted belt in a tire.
