Dyna 96cu with intake/exhaust
Who has or had a bike with intake and exhaust only. Did you do a stage 1 flash, full dynotune or did you leave it stock? The Harley dealer near me refused to do a standard stage 1 flash. They want to charge me 800 to full tune with dyno. They said don't do the standard flash it'll run crappy and I won't be happy. Anyone have any experience with this? Will it run safe stock? Will it run Kaa Kaa flashed? Will it be safer flashed?

I would not run my engine with a modified air intake and exhaust system with out some kind of tuner............
Yes Harley is most likely correct, their down load would not give you what you are looking for !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At least they were honest with you about that fact.
I am running a ThunderMax Auto tuner #309-382 for - Dyna's - Sportster's and Softails......... This is one their newer model's and it works Awesome........
Easy to install, easy to run Auto mapping feature and easy to change your whole map if you end up going with more engine mod's later...........
Yes they are a little pricey, but I picked mine up from Cyclesolutions for $674.00, a lot cheaper than anywhere else...........Free shipping as well.
It's your engine, you can run it with nothing, but it will surely run lean........
That choice is your's my friend, just trying to give some sound advice from my experience.
Hope I helped a little..............
Live Free = Ride Free..........
I have two stage 1 bikes running factory tunes, and they run fine and haven't self-destructed.
If you want to run cooler, or get rid of decel pop, or get every last horsepower available, then you'll want an aftermarket tune. And if you go on to change cams etc, aftermarket cams will result in erroneous signals to the manifold air pressure sensor, so you need a tune for that too.
