Default Removable Super glide key

Hey guys I have an 06 fxdi and I have a couple of questions the first is has anyone ever smoothed the notch off of the barrel key so that you could remove it after it is switched on? And the second does anyone know if it is possible to parade to the smartII system from 07 with the proximity fob thank you all

Grind the knub off the key will make it removable. Did on my 08 SB and my 07 LR. Not sure about your other question but I am sure someone else will chime in.

If you remove the key with the ignition on then use the kill switch, your light will remain on.
Great idea for about 45 minutes, then it really sucks.

Call me silly but after building a completely custom dyna I think a key and fob looks tacky hanging from the neck tube when the ignition is on

The new bikes have a hidden key system that is under a flip up cover on the tank ignition switch.
You just unlock the switch and pull the key out. It works great. I love being able to just walk up to the bike ( with fob in pocket) and start it up.

The alarm won't allow the lights or anything else to turn on with out the fob or pin being entered.
