Ok so im assuming the mount is bad. Definitely touching the plate.
. Throw a jack under it and pop it out to get a better look at it. You might be able to trim it some while it's on there, but you'll know for sure if you remove and inspect. If you want to try a trim on the bike to see if it gets better you could if you don't have the time to remove it and inspect.
To me it looks dry which is good it isn't oil soaked, it might be fine. Don't forget to check that rear mount you should have clearance between the trans and the mount and it should be straight not tilting.
Ok thanks a lot. i will just put a new one on there and be done with it. Been reading other threads and seems the new mounts are re designed to sit a little lower to prevent the gap from closing. Now to head to dealer today and see if t hey have one. thanks for all the help

. I'd look into the aftermarket options. For a little more they are going to outlast your oem and you'll get better handling
Picked up the new mount at dealer. It does look quite different from original. It doesn't have near as much " nose" as the original. I practically has no rubber bumper nose that sticks up at all. I looked at some new dynas and they all have the rubber mount like my original and the rubber bumper was just a frog hair from touching the bracket. Made me scratch my head and wonder why they are so close together if they knowingly become a problem and then sell you one that doesn't have the bumper nose on it to fix it.
EDIT.....by the nose i mean the upper mount with the rounded end. The new one doesn't have near as much rubber on the top side as the old one.

Just wondering why you went and bought another crappy Harley mount that will fail again, when you could have picked up the Vibra-Technics mount and solved 2 issues.
Im impatient. That pretty much solves that question lol. I hate ordering and waiting for stuff in the mail. Ill have the mount on by tomorrow and on the road instead of waiting for fed ex
"when you could have picked up the Vibra-Technics mount and solved 2 issues." Where do you buy these and how much are they? I know I could do a search just thought I would ask. TIA
