I have an 02 Superglide and want to lose the narrowglide forks and go the same route. Looking to put the 41mm wideglide front end with a 16" rim & beefier tire and maybe a beefier front fender too. I just need to find someone who supplies the front end online. Anyone got any tips or suggestions? I'm not very good at figuring the rake/trail issues so an easy swap would be best for me.

I'm running stock length Heritage/Fatboy forks in Softail Custom trees on my '02 (with FXDF shocks). With the exception of mildly tweaking the trees & fabbing fender, caliper & wheel spacers, it was a pure bolt on. Fork lock in the neck even works. If you use the FXDWG/FXSTC forks in FXDWG trees, it will be a straight bolt on. Hardest part is cleaning up all the excess wiring hidden under the headlight brow. It's been done here a bunch of times & searching "FL Dyna" will turn up a dozen plus variations on the them.
Don't know the rake & trail numbers, but mine rides like a Cadillac, rolls over into a corner easy as pies & holds a line like it's on rails. Stable & smooth on short bursts past 100mph & low speed/parking lot manners are as good as stock.

Carl 69,
Sharp looking bike. Exactly the look Im going for. Did you buy the parts used or through the local dealer parts dept?
Thank you. Scrounged them all used.

Wide Glides & Low Riders of the era had 32* at the neck, while Super Glides had 28*. Wide Glide/Softail Custom trees have a bit of rake in the trees, but not sure how much. Degree & a half maybe, but I've never seen an official number.
It's a 41mm. In my case, I used '02 FLST fork legs, '01 FXSTC trees & a '99 FLSTC wheel.
I'm a total parts bin scrounger & am running take off FXDF shocks, a '90-something Sportster a/c cover, Switchback footboards & was able to score a NOS accessory tach kit for a FLHR & used it to recreate/cobble together the discontinued factory FXD tach kit. When it comes to most mods I prefer to use OE vs. aftermarket, because aftermarket quality & fit can be so iffy. I just prefer a more understated vibe & try to do everything so cleanly that it looks factory. It is kinda fun to see people try to figure out just what my Super Glide is. They know it's not "right", but they can't quite put their finger on what exactly is different.
