Default '13 FXDWG - Handle bars and cables/wiring

OK, wanting to "explore" some options with handle bars / risers for my WG. Surely there are some out there that can speak from actual experience, and not "well I heard....". How far can I raise the bars without changing all the cables/wiring???? I'm not looking at going crazy, just thinking maybe dropping from the stock 5" risers to something like 2", and going with 8" or 10" apes (baby apes? that's a chimpanzee, right?! lol). Can I get some feedback from someone who has done this, or at least seen it done firsthand? Would also love to see some close up pics of bars and risers.

I had 2 inch riser spacers on my stock bars/risers and that seemed to be pretty close to the limit for the stock cables. However, the Clutch cable can be re-routed to the right side of the bike to get more slack. The internal wiring for the controls is plenty long enough.

See!? That's what I'm talking about. I've heard and read that we can go up 8-10" and you say yours were stretched at 2"!! lol. C'mon guys, 70 views and only 1 response???!! Surely there's more of us out there with this issue.
Thanks for your reply LXCoupe

There is enough wiring to accommodate 16" bars.

Your cables can probably accommodate +2" over what you have now.
