How does your non stock seat fit your Dyna...thread
Greetings,
I've been on a seat hunt lately. I demo'd a Tall Boy and liked it a lot, but it may have been a smidge too tall. Liked the seat position though. I understand it moves the rider 2" up and 1.75" rearward. The seat felt a little firmer than stock and was flatter vs the more cradled feeling from stock. More surface area to move for and aft.
So, I'm looking for info for Dyna's (FLD specifically) on how your non stock seat fits your bike as compared to stock, as well as any other comments you'd like to make.
Seat - HD Tallboy
Rider dimensions - 6', 34" inseam, 34" arms
Height change - 2" up
For/aft change - 1.75" rearward
Comments - Seat felt flatter. Easier to reposition for/aft. Seat felt firmer, but more supportive. Was aware of the additional height at parking lot speeds. Upside was a more commanding seating position. Felt more in control of the bike.
2006 Street Bob
I just bought a corbin dual Touring. I LOVE it. "$$$$$" but I think my A$$ is worth it. It fit great, the mounting hardware attached to the seat is adjustable so it fits perfectly.
The Mustang Wide Vintage 2-up moved me up and forward a little from the original seat but the comfort improvement on longer rides is well worth the swap.

Sharp looking seat. Did the seat position change? If so, how? I'm very curious about this seat. I've always read the Corbin's take about 1,000 miles to break in and they hard, but they are supposed to be very comfortable.
Also, I have to ask how much that sucker cost? Gorgeous and bad ***.
