Has anyone used the progressive monotubes on their dyna? I used them on a softail and worked we'll just curious if anyone actually had then on their dyna
I installed this kit two weeks ago and like it a lot.
Since work kept me busy I only got to ride 40 miles with it, but hope to do some riding this week and put a review on here.
First impression however is very good. The parts are all good quality and I did notice an improvement over the Intiminators I used the last 3 1/2 years, and those were a huge improvement over the stock suspension.
It's also nice not having to worry about leaking seals!
Don't these still require a small amount of fork oil to lubricate? Wouldn't that still require fork seals?
I'm confused.
Yes there are still seals...but really just to keep the dirt out. The oil will never get up near the seals like they do with full spring/oil suspension. Its just a little (like 4oz) in the bottom of the tube to keep the monotube and your slider from grinding together, since they do move a little.

You're right, they need 300cc in each forkleg for lubrication, so yes that still requires the seals.
However, there's less pressure on them so the chance they'll blow is minimal (I assume, I'm no expert), and if they do your fork still is fully functional.
