After having dealt with a serious vibration/buzz happening with my 06 SG, I was able to get the motor mount replaced. After that the vibration and buzzing was gone. Now it is back and it only been about 500 miles since I had it replaced. What Gives???
With the new motor mount the bike was perfect. I could read the billboards in my mirrors where before I couldn't see a Semi behind me. This vibration started creeping back and on the way to work this morning the buzzing had my hands numb and tingling and it's only a 25 mile ride.
Guess I am going to have to find someway to resolve this issue. Anyone else having this problem?? If so, what was the cure?
Back to the dealer..soundslike a warranty issue again.I had the same problem, and the same outcome.New motor mount and everything was great.600 miles later there is no gap on the mount(resting on the low side)and the vibration has returned.I am going to bring it in and have it looked at.Almost makes me wonder if its an engine mounted offset pr bad stabilizer link?????
Either way, they can replace it again on MoCos nickle.
Do wut i did and trade it in on a night train or soft tail it stopped my vibration.I had the same problem with my street bob and just had to get rid of it now my ride is so smoth. i dont know why they dont put the b motor in the dyna too?
