question , I have an 06 fxdwg . got it about a year ago , i don't spend too much time on the hyway but this past weekend i was at biketoberfest coming from rossmiers on 95 and felt a strange vibration over 70 mph , never felt that before was wondering if anybody else had experianced that same prob ? now i have had this bike on the hyway before but never felt it .it seem's to be coming from under the seat vs the front end.
any help would sure be appreciated.
thank's
steve
I don't know if it's just me or what but since I have been reading these vibration post's it seems like mine has started to have a strange vibration.[sm=headbang.gif]
I was at Bikertoberfest also. When I was ready to head back South, about 200 miles, I filled up with premium grade gas, and my bike shook like the devil was trying to escape from the engine. For me, I got BAD premium gas. Once I filled up again, the vibration (miss in the engine) went away.
I was questioning the front motor mount situation . was the front mount broken or just too soft like a defect in the mount itself. ?
and where would i go to get the technical bullitins for this bike?
i did put the bike in the air and ran it up to speed and did notice the wheel bouncing and the spoke rim doing the same thing , so i guess when i replace the tire i will have to get the rim true'd at the same time.
Heres a link to a guy that had a lot of Vibs on his Dyna and he found gaps between his front Mount and the frame . I Checked my 07 Bob and it was good. I dont think the 07's have any problems and infact I dont think many 06's did. Anyways good luck!
