Please explain the need to powder coat rims and other parts red - and I'm not bein a wise a$$ here. I really want to know. Is there some historical significance? Do people think it looks good?
I do alot of powdercoating becauseI live a couple blocks from the beach and everything rusts here. I cut the fender and struts off to keep my crazy G.F. off the back. We were roadguards at the toy run and she did 130 miles on the old fender with her legs rapped around my waist...I cut 7" off stock fender and it looked bad with large gap between fender and tire...
A friend of mine did this to a 100 hp Sportster and his bike draws a crowd too - but he COPIED the RX Streetfighter - not me...
This bike always gets more looks than $50 k chrome bombs. People come up to me all the time and say how much they like it.
PM brakes inc 13" front disc + 6 pis. dif. cal - shaved pro st. heads, And 37, 95", 9-1 Weisco flat tops(100hp 100ft lbs)
THIS BIKE MADE A SMALL CHILD SCREAM! or I guess it could have been me...
Future projects: custom seat - I really like the F.G. 1/2 seat pan - cleaner than the RX Streerfighter from Exile....
A different headlight - maybe make a big piston into one...
The concept of the bobber is to remove everything that dosen't make it go or stop better....(bags on a bobber - PLEASE...)
My favorite part of this bike is it is origional - I made many custom parts you can't buy - and IT DOES NOT look like your bike...
On the downside - if I put beer on the fender - it gets shook up quick - TODAY'S PROJECT - FIX THE DAMN FLAT TIRE !
The view most people get of this bike is of the back tire leaving - gravel spitting, Thunder header roaring...never been passed by a Harley...
Sorry you didn't like it pappy - you are the first. My bagger does not look like your bagger either - like me - ORIGIONAL....!
The 140mm front tire - no front fender is very popular here in Cali. - ie Exile...
That back tire is a 180mm Mich. Pilot soft TRACK tire...got 5 more in the bedroom - they look like a slicks - no rain tire !
I feel this bike is in the true spirit of the "bobber/chopper"
BOBBER - a bike with nothing on it that dosen't make it go or stop better....
CHOPPER - a stock bike that has things removed to make it better and custom...
This bike pics. were posted on the "Horse - Backstreet Choppers" - without neg. comments. SEE HOW YOURS DOES THERE ...!
