Default Dyna Suspension/Handeling Upgrade

So I've been planning out my suspension mods for the past couple weeks for my 2014 FXDB. I spoke with Howard from Motorcycle Metal and I don't think words can express how helpful and straight forward he is. He's definitely not "another guy trying to sell you parts." Stand up guy with a wealth of knowledge. Anyway.. I've decided to go with Ohlins #4 in the rear but I'm struggling with a few other decisions so I figured I'd start this thread to get some input/advise from other members.

Front: I'd really like to get the Ohlins 30mm cartridges, but I'm starting to think that it's (financially) a bit of a pipe dream, so I'm considering the Race Tech gold valve cartridges and springs. If anyone has put a decent amount of mileage on either of these options is willing to share their experience, I'd be grateful.

I also want to get a sputhe stabilizer or true track, but all three (rear shocks, forks, stabilizer) are not in my current budget. I'd like to hear member's thoughts on wether I should do rear shocks and forks now OR do rear shocks and stabilizer now.

I'm leaning towards rear shocks and stabilizer but I'm worried that the Ohlins are going to really out perform the mushy stock forks which will make the bike handle poorly..

Thanks for reading!

rear shocks and stabilizer.... for now, thicker fork oil.

Do the vehicle alignment procedure in the manual. I did it on mine, and it made a huge difference in the way my bike handled. I swear they must not do this at the factory...

I have the Ohlins shocks, Progressive cartridge fork emulators and the Sputhe stabilizer.
Personally I would go with shocks first, fork mods and then the stabilizer as I think it is the order in which they affect handling the most.

The alignment is absolutely the first thing you need to do.....after that you may find you won't need those other "band aids" that are so popular here

I just ordered a Service Manual but it wont arrive till late next week. I'd like to do the alignment over the holiday weekend this weekend. Anybody willing to detail this for me or scan the pages and email them to me?

The biggest bang for the buck for the front end is traxxion straight rate springs, ricor intimidators, and amzoil 10w shock therapy fork oil. It wil transform your front end and can be completed for 300 bucks.

There is a long thread about this combo if you care to read it.

There are several good options for the front. Once you put good shocks on the rear, you are going to notice the front is worse than you think it is now.
