Default Progressive 412s

My bike has 11" progressives on it now, came that way. Thinking of going to a 12" shock. I go about 235 lbs, was thinking progressive 412 heavy duty. Bike is a 2012 street bob. Thoughts?

Go at least 12". Why get the 412, when the 444s are only $400?

12" is the max I can go with the bobcat exhaust. Where have you found 444s for $400?

I bought the 12.5" HD version...I leave it on the lowest setting for 1up....1 or 2 notches up for 2up with/without luggage. If im lazy..its stays on the 2nd notch. As for why not 444s? Well 412s are $223 on Amazon 444 is twice as much.

I bought some 412s a while ago and they were worse than the stock shocks. They either bottomed out or, if dialed up, they were like rocks.

Save up and get some proper shocks, like Hagons.

I went with the heavy duty on mine and I weigh 25 to 30 lbs. more than you and they are plenty stiff, not uncomfortable, but just a little stiff. I have the preload adjustment all the way out to its softest position and have never bottomed out or anything close. If I had it to do over I think I would get the standard not the HD. Just my
