I'd just ride the bike if the dip stick showed full It'll sort itself out. After you pay for that, you'll know the difference between the oil and transmission drain plugs.
People on here tell newbies to wrench, then ridicule them when they need help. The HD service manual for my '03 has no illustrations for where the plugs are. I had to print the picture I posted and put it in my manual.
Sure would be nice if the service threads had a stickie with videos showing how to do a 10k.
That's simple, you just turn the bike upside down and put it back in there.
Awesome.
He has asked and been advised to get a manual to educate himself on the correct way to service his bike and this continues. You don't even need a full service manual for this stuff, in the Owners Manual there are instructions on how to change all 3 oils along with fluid recommendations.
To the original poster: You can't go wrong stopping by the local Harley dealer and buying Formula+ Transmission and Primary Chaincase lubricant...and a manual.
I know I'm new here, not being rude it's just my bent sense of humor.

Yep, the guy asked for help and it turns into a 3rd grade dogpile on the newb. I know when I bought my first bike I new next to nothing about working on it. I'm sure the guys doing the ridiculing were born with all the skillz to pay the billz.
I have a 2006 FXDCI and I seem to remember an addendum to the manual that said the label in the picture for the tranny plug and the engine oil plug were reversed. I usually change all 3 (primary, engine oil, transmission fluid) at the same time anyway, so for me it's always been a non-issue.
The video I showed you will tell you how to change the oil and the picture someone posted below it that looks like it cam from the manual is 100% correct on where your drain plugs are. Now since you drained the trans. If are looking at your oil dipstick to the left of that is your trans fill plug. It will be an Allen head I believe it is a 3/8( not a 100% but ye it definitely is an Allen head). And you will know its the trans because if you follow your clutch cable it will lead to the area I am telling you about. To refill it take out that Allen key plug and you can refill it with Harley primary/transmission fluid which you can get from your local dealer. I put one quart in. And you should be good to go.
Hope this helps. Also pick up a manual it will help you out a lot if I were you I would get both. You can get that as well from your local dealer / ebayor online.

Good advice... and some not so helpful. The OP does sound pretty noob like, and interestingly enough... all the guys that didn't know **** a week ago are making fun ... this IS supposed to be a place people come to get help... so provide real help, or don't post.
I wouldn't use HD oil if you paid me. But that's just my 2cts. As for where to drain it, where to add it and how to check it...take it to a dealer.. get them to show you. simple as that. Or if you don't have a dealer close by, find a rider that wrenches his own bike close by. ... and yes, get a manual... that IS good advice.
I recommended Harley oil because that is probably what they will have at the dealer. Op you can use which ever trans oil you like better. You will find many posts on here with brands that others use.
I got everything sorted out. Thanks for your help guys. Got all 3 fluids changed o rings swapped. And proper fluid and fluid levels. Also swapped my primary cover and cam cover. With new gaskets. Tons of help on these forums. And some ridicule as well. But I have a mean sense of humor. This was my favorite. I laughed my *** off:
