oem side license plate mount
hello all. just wanted to give a shout to you guys first before i go spending an arm and a leg. Im looking for a oem license plate bracket for my 2013 wide glide. when i baught it the dealer had put a fender mount kit on and i want to go back to the side mount. is there anyone out there selling one or want to trade for my fender kit?

Look into a non-HD side mount. There's a ton out there for cheap. I bought mine from road 6 customs for $20 i think. Paid $10 for some led plate bolts and good to go.

Go aftermarket. The oem side mount on my SB looks like an afterthought...not worth the money

Do not buy the version from Celtic Metal Works off of Amazon.
I came home from a trip and noticed the side mount had snapped off where it mounts to the axel. Have no clue where I lost it. A lot of these are made from cheap cast.

Have a look at JayBrake's side mount, real nice looking and made from billet NOT cast.

Incredibly solid. I mounted it to the rear most belt guard mounting tab on the swing arm. Routed the wiring along the swingarm with some black zip-ties and then straight up under the seat. Mine is horizontal due to laws in FL. they make vertical mounts with and without tail light mounting.
Road six customs is just one of many companies that make similar mounts. If I remember correctly their options were slightly cheaper.
