New Gauntlet Fairing Installed....Question on Adjustment?
So after much research I decided to take a gamble on the MS Gauntlet Fairing. Got it installed last night and rode about 30 miles on the interstate to a local bike night. I intially left the Quick Disconnect adjustment the way it came out of the box. Rode a few miles to a buddies house and decided to play with the adjustment a bit because buffeting I was getting.
I adjusted the top mount all the way out (tilting the top of the screen out). This seemed to help a bit but still a huge amount of buffeting and wind noise.
I'm going to try today to tilt the screen all the way back (top back, bottom out) to see if that changes anything.
Just wonder how everyone else has their's adjusted and if you have any buffeting or noise issues?
My next course of action is trying a bubble shield on my 3/4 helmet. I also have a few more fairing adjustment I'm planning to try. I beleive the problem is the wind is hitting me around eye level creating a crazy about of wind noise. I don't think i'll be able to get the wind above me, so i need to move the fairing back (top in, bottom out) to get the wind around chin level. Hopefully that, and the bubble will make it tolerable.
