I just pulled my 204's out and went back stock. I really loved the way they sounded at idle up to 1800 rpm had a big cam lope got a lot of looks and comments.

fwtw initially with just a 1 week auto tune I got 80 and 90 with a PCV auto tune (never did dyno tune it) with one air fuel sensor unplugged (d'oh me) on a stg 1 stock everything else 96.

For instance-I am 240 lbs and my buddy is 160 and we both have similar stg 1 Heritages and from 20 mph roll in we were still side by side like before the 204's.

But with cams when Id shift into 3rd Id leave him like he was standing still all the way to faster than I cared to go (117) that's no exaggeration the performance increase was amazing!

I pulled them out simply because we do a lot of long distance and my mileage is pretty important to me. It was mid 40's consistently 2 up and went to low to mid 30's with cams.

I never could tune the mileage back up where I was, not saying a real tuner couldn't I just never did it by a pro.

I am the exception to the rule on that I know. Most guys don't give a rats *** about mpg but it bugged me enough to change back. hth

204's are cool cams but if you want some more umph in the upper side i do a Andrews 57 H Cam. I have them in mine and still has lopey idle too if thats your love. The 57 is basically the same cam as a 204 with built in 4 degrees retard and more lift .560" it comes on around 2K and stays up most of the way through the range.

I've yet to see a dyno sheet for an Andrews 37 that wasn't soggy as hell on the bottom. Even with gobs of compression, the low end was soft as hell, relatively.

I'm still debating cams, myself (along with 95" vs 98" & whose headwork) & the 204 is still in the hunt.

Per Big Boyz calculator, the 204s make more dynamic compression than stock cams, so little chance of losing bottom end with 'em. From what I've seen on other boards (especially HTT), the 204s are regarded as a great cam in 103s, as their higher (stock) compression really lets the 204s shine.

Take a look at the Cran 300-2 (6000-1 for '06-up)? Looks like it makes GOBS of torque, off-idle & carries it out well to the right.

Thank you for your input to the thread.............

Did you change your riding style after you installed the 204's ?????
Wondering why the large drop in MPG's.......... 10 miles to the gallon is a considerable decrease.

How many mile's did you put on the 204's, and did you change your map when you installed.....

Thanks.........

FWIW I just did Andrews 48H cams in my 13 Wide Glide.
These cams have a ton of down low *****,if i was to go with a different cam it would be Andrews 57H.The 48's just need a bit more mid range pull for me.
I'm 280lb and I'm getting 37-38 mpg avg from the Power Vision.

Those #s seem too good to be true, not saying it isnt right, but seems close to a Stage IV for a basic Stage I w/cam.

If you have some other info that I could consider, knowing that I do not want to change spring's, I am all ears and open to other option's............

Once again Thank you for your time............

I thought the Andrews 57 was considered a bolt on cam? Any experience with lift as you say?
