Default Tank question

Would a newer SG tank fit onto my '08 SG. Since the speedo is on a newer tank then i can eliminate it from being on the bars. would the electronics of it work?

The above info worked for me when I bought a tank for my bike. So yes, the tank itself will fit your bike, I can't speak to whether or not moving the speedo will be plug and play however. I'm sure your answer is around the forum somewhere.
