T-Bars Vs Risers with MX bars
T-bars are non adjustable and internal wiring makes them looks great but PITA to install.
Risers with flat track bars give you the ability to change the risers pretty easy and rotate the bars, BUT now the wires running down the risers are exposed.
I would think with the same rise and pullback, they would be the same for comfort and performance. With the t-bars you better get it right the first time when you order. My 2 cents.
PS I did risers and bars on my Sporty this spring, love them. I had t-bars on my Wide Glide about 6 years ago, now replaced with apes.

Also, there was a post couple days ago about new risers for 1" bars and protapers and other MX that allow to run wires inside of them. Still think though Forbidden Motorcycles risers look better IMHO
I've always preferred the riser/bar setup. I like the adjustability of it and the option to change risers or bars pretty quickly and easily. Yes the wires are exposed but it's never been much of a bother for me. Bung King now makes tall risers that are internally drilled for wiring. You could run em through your bars and into the risers and have them nice and hidden. My personal preference is stock Sportster bars, with 1-1.5in taken off each end and 8-9-10 in risers depending on the particular bike.
If you get T-bars you are stuck with what you get, so you might wanna sit on a couple bikes that have them if you can. I went from 12" T-bars to 14" then to 16" MX Bars and I found that the 14" were the most comfortable. I wasn't really happy with the pull back on any of them though, I felt it brought my arms to close to me. The wiring isn't that bad either, I used some weed eater line to feed and pull the wires through the bars and it made it super easy. But now I run Forbidden 11" risers with a 3" dirt bike bar and its the best set up I have ran. You can adjust the pull back to where you feel the most comfortable. Also you dont have to run the wires along the risers on each side. Mine are wired internally through the bars and come out the center down the risers in one bunch of wires so it looks clean. I did have to run solid aluminum bushings with the set up I have now though because I had some play with the poly bushings. But poly bushings will be fine with regular T-bars. I ran polys with my 16" MX bars and had hardly any play.
I also have the Forbidden risers with Pro taper bars ( 9" risers and mini high bars ). Puts me at about 12"-13". Had mine drilled for internal wiring as well. Also opted for the Joker Machine top tree since my SB had the factory integrated top tree/riser combo.
