2010-2014 had black engine cases. Prior to that they were silver.

Just bought the same bike except not the custom. My first Harley and having a ball! Really looking forward to mods as the budget permits. This is what I should have done three bikes ago and saved the time and effort buying and selling them.

I just bought a 2012 and love it so far. I just change to Floorboards as well and like it a lot. I am going to convert it to a heel/toe shift soon just waiting on some parts. I have not pulled the primary to remove the rear shift arm yet but plan on doing it after Biketober fest. Been very pleased with everything so far. hoping to install a stage 1 kit and power vision tune this weekend if FedEx shows up tomorrow. Your bike looks good and know you will be pleased with it. Here's some pics of the boards.

I have a 2008 Dyna Super Glide Custom. From day one my bike has been transformed into my own likes! Windshield, engine guard, aux. lights, seat, bags, etc., etc. Most of all MORE chrome... !! The picture that I have on my posts is a old one. I have added more chrome, etc. A sickness of mine!

Hello there guys .. finally got my 2008 FXDC ... and ... after a couple of days of riding i saw some oil leaking ... i am a bit of a scared now especially in the last case ... (last two photos) .. any clues on that ?

the area next to the cam cover behind the oil filter ...

the area next to the cam cover behind the oil filter ...

this is what really scares me ... is the leak from the crankcase bolt or the base gaskets ???? .. if the latter ... then ... pffff

i want to add to that point that the area around the cylinder base is clean and oil free ... the leak is only in the area you see in the pics .. any advices guys ?

Possible blow back from the last time someone changed the filter, spilled some oil (easy to do), and never cleaned it up?

Looks just like my 2009 FXDC did when I picked it up..

Just one comment... another poster said that he'd drop the bike 1/2 inch.. I wouldn't because at stock
height I scrape the lower exhaust pipe bracket all too often on right hand turns.

Here's the list of what I've done to mine to make it a reall great long-distance ride..

Forward controls
Crash bar
Fork Brace
True-Track stabilizers
Custom mounted, quick release Memphis Shades Batwing
Memphis shades lower fork deflectors
Clearview 14” windshield
Relocated turn signals front and rear
7” headlight
10 row JAGG side-mount oil cooler
Crash bar mounted auxiliary lights
Mini Beast blaster horn
Cigar lighter type power outlet on handle bar
4 ½” curved riser
HD mini board type pegs
Extended jiffy stand
Padded grips
Battery pig-tail
Gerbing heated glove plug in
Mustang Vintage seat with folding backrest and pillion
Digital dip stick
Removable sissybar and rack
EZ Bracket quick release saddlebag mounts
TourPack style trunk with rack

And it's coming apart today to send the tin off to be painted.. the paint has held up fine, but I prefer red
to black and there's some extra cash right now so WTF..

FWIW
