I bought these on bad advice from a "mechanic" now I have two large paper weights. Anyway, I am told by a dealer that they may fit a 2008 and up FXD (mine is a 2006). Please double check before you buy. I know that is counter-productive to actually selling them, but I have a conscience.
These are from a 2012 Switchback that have never been mounted. They are clean, not a scratch or blemish, and still in the box. The lady I bought them from had upgraded to the chrome ones when she bough her Bike.
If anyone is interested, please shoot me a private message and we can discuss price and shipping rates. I paid $650 for them and I am told they aren't available for over the counter purchase. Double-Check that-- it could just be dealer fluff. Anyway, they are a great looking rim for the price!
Do you guys think they look good on my SB? I might be interested.
I think they would. I am a Softail rider (2008 Crossbones) but I love the Dynas and I especially love the Switchback with the wheels being one of the reasons I like it so much. If I thought these wheels would work on my scoot I would be tempted to make an offer on them. I love them because they remind me of rally wheels on 60's era muscle cars!
I think that they would look great on your SB. I looked into getting the same wheels for my 2010 superglide custom. The rear would be a direct swap. I was told that the front end was different 41mm and that the 130 tire on the front would not fit with out modification. Good Luck!
Geometry. I even went as far as seeing "what if" I swapped my front end for the Switchback front-- rake and trail would be way off to much.
In order to make it work, it would take an entirely customized fork, caliper bracket, and custom disc-- all from scratch (so I am told anyway). I am not a mechanic, math genius, or Harley expert... so if anyone out that know of a why to make it work, I am all for it!
I just don't have the $$$ to do a major custom job on my ride.
