I've recently upgraded all of my lights to H-D LED lighting. First I had auxiliary mirrors with turn signals installed, which required a load equalizer for proper functionality. The rear turn signals were the last lights I replaced. The description for the LED turn signals on the Harley Davidson website indicate that installation does not require a "control box" or a load equalizer.
After completing the install I inspected everything and the signals all work perfectly. However, the next day I noticed that when signaling the console signals flash very quickly. Everything is functioning normally, everything except for the console indicators. As a sanity check I decided to go ahead and buy a load equalizer anyway. After installing the load equalizer, however, there was no change. Lighting everywhere functions normally except for the fast turn signal indicators on the console.
I spoke to a Harley technician and was basically told that if everything is working fine then to keep an eye on it and bring it in if anything changes. I'm not totally satisfied with that answer. Do any electrical gurus here know what is going on?

Please and thank you!
I had the same problem when i installed my led turn signals and read the instructions and it said to run the 4 way hazards for 5 minutes to re-sync the CanBus system. That did the trick for me hope that works for you.

Great advice...not many HD dealerships know to do this. Same thing happened with me...and they basically told me to live with it. lol
I have a follow up question with the rear H-D LEDs if anyone knows. From time to time, the console signals begin blinking fast after miles and miles of normal functioning. The rear LEDs stop working entirely, and it isn't until I turn the bike off and on again that everything is restored to how it should be.
Finally got this sorted out. I took it into Harley yesterday morning and had a return call 20 minutes later. They never really gave me an exact description of my error codes, other than to say the BCM was having issues communicating with my rear signals. They tried installing a rear load equalizer, but it caused even more signal dysfunction. Ultimately, they decided there is a compatibility issue with newer bikes and LEDs.
We decided to try tricking the BCM into functioning normally by installing stock incandescent lights on my forks. I've read about people doing this to correct signal problems. Today my girlfriend found several photos of LED/incandescent combos that are almost my exact setup. Two hours later my error codes were gone and all SIX signals worked perfectly. Parker, the SLC Harley manager told me he "puts out the fires" and charged me absolutely nothing for their work (which included fork mount parts).
I had issues with these signals for months and did a good amount of research to try and solve the problem. Once again, the Harley dealership came through and my bike is at 100% again. Hopefully, this may be helpful for anyone else having LED problems.
