2008 cvo springer engine light
Hey all . Have my 2008 cvo Springer at the dealer for the last 2 weeks . Brought the bike in basically not running - starting then cutting out - running rough and rich when it would run . Speedo not working .
After many diagnostic trial and errors - voltage regulator - computor , and some other things , they finally replaced the VSS ( speed sensor ) .
After replacing that the bike fired right up - they test rode it , and told me that everything is now working , and the bike is running perfectly - problem is the check engine light was supposedly cleared , but keeps coming back on , and it stays on - but no codes .
They are saying that they now feel it could be the TPS , and are waiting ( over a week ) for that to come in to see if that does it .
I have heard/read that its possible to have to cycle the bike through as many as 50 times to clear the code - dealer says that's not it .
If the new TPS doesn't do the trick , I'm thinking of telling them that I want the bike back anyhow .What's the worst that could happen ???
