Headlight dimming

Hello all,

Last night while riding home my headlight would dim a bit and then gradually brighten back up. This would occur at what felt like random intervals.

Where should I start troubleshooting this?

Check the plug on the rear of the bulb for burning or melting.

Haha, sorry.

It's a 2010 Wide Glide.

No signs of burning or any other abnormalities around the connections to the headlight.

possible battery going bad, have it load tested. make sure regulator has GOOD ground and all connections good.

Time for a charging system check. Check the output from the stator and make sure the regulator is charging back to the battery. Report back with findings...
