Hi all, i have a carbed 02 fxdwg, my left turn signal isn't working and as far as i can tell it seem to be a faulty tssm, now i have ordered an exact replacement pn 68922-00, i don't have an alarm or fobs at present and i don't want one either, my question is will the new tssm just plug in and away i go or will it have to be programmed to work?, i just want to ride my bike with working turn signals . thanks in advance.
You should have bought a TSM (turn signal module) which I'm showing as part number 68920-01A Not a TSSM (turn signal security module) which is part number 68922-00A, if your bike doesn't currently have, and you don't want the security system. I believe you have to program the new module to the ECM using these steps http://www.harley-performance.com/su...s/password.pdf
If the part you ordered (the TSSM) is the same part number that was in the bike, it'll still work using the same programming steps but you won't have the security function unless to take it to the dealer to have them activated it, otherwise it'll just act as a TMS. The difference in price between the two modules however is about $100.
