maybe try ebay for a after market loom,or NOS. plenty off life in the old girl yet, u can even get new switch blocks.. especially for a z series 900

You did ask a strange question, for a Harley forum! As for bikes from the same era of your K, I owned a new 1977 BMW for many years, and that was suffering from wiring problems within about a decade from new. How does that relate to a K? I have no idea. I for one wouldn't hesitate in rewiring your bike, which was nothing like as well made as more modern bikes.
