2004 fxst aftermarket daymaker fitting issue!!!

Default 2004 fxst aftermarket daymaker fitting issue!!!
I have a stock bottom mount headlight bucket and just purchased an aftermarket day maker projector, went to install it and can not get it to fit in the stock housing. Has anyone had this same issue? I guess that's what I get for going the cheaper route!!! If anyone one has any info or has had this same issue is there a special ring or spacer I need to make this work?
