Electrical problems,2007 road king

While riding the neutral light comes on for awhile and then goes off,also the key
light comes on while riding.can anyone help?

Neutral Light:
Your bike has a neutral switch installed in the transmission case.

The switch is probably dirty, worn out, and/or broken. You should be able to replace it for less than $20.

Red Key Light:
The red key light is used to indicate two different situations:

1. Security System Status
2. Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Status

If you do not have a security system then the ECM is probably throwing a DTC.

Check to see if any codes are present:

If found, troubleshoot the code:

Keep in mind the code might only show up when the red key light is illuminated and may clear when the light goes out. Some codes however will be stored until manually cleared.

Thanks for the info Enodrano, I had the same problem pop up last Friday on my 07 Road King. Just wanted to know if it is ok to ride till my new switch comes in? I ordered one online. Thanks again for the info.
