My bike is a 2012 CVO Road Glide
Recently the bike only charges at 12V and BATT and ENG lights illuminate.
This occurs for the first 15 - 20 minutes of a ride if the bike has sat for more than a few hours. After that first 15 or so minutes she goes to 14V and dummy lights extinguish.
Brand new battery installed as I figured it was time anyway - same story.
I can only assume that it is the voltage regulator but would appreciate anybody elses thoughts before I shotgun it.
Just make sure wiring is tight and clean from battery to frame and to the starter, also check the plug at the VR. I would also confirm the stator to make sure still good before plugging a new VR. Chance are your VR just like mine. Also there was a service bulletin for 2012 bike for the VR ;-)

Common problem on 2012's. Most likely the voltage regulator, but check connections and stator as previously mentioned.
There are sticky's in this section to troubleshoot the stator.
Cool - thanks for the response. I was trying to follow the trouble shooting reference from the J&P site but didn't get very far. I will search this section to see if there is a T.S. guide that makes more sense to me.
