Default 06 FXDBI Brake Light Issue

Hoping to get some guidance here. So my tail light is functioning, but my brake light does not illuminate when either the brake lever or pedal are used. First I checked the bulb and its fine, even switched the wires to make sure both filaments worked. Next I changed all the fuses and those are all good. I followed the brake light wire up to the wiring harness and cannot find anything there or along the way. Any help at this point would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Nait.

Do the turn signals work?

Horn?

With your multimeter, read voltage at the accessory fuse.

Thanks for the quick reply. Horn and signals work. Accessory and light fuses read at 12v.

Check for voltage at the rear brake light switch, the orange/white wire, it should have system voltage whenever the ignition switch is on.

Check the voltage at the red/yellow, it should have system voltage when either brake is activated.

I get voltage for the running light but not the brake light. I followed the wire and can't find anything so I am lost on where to look next

Have you done what I suggested in post 4? What were the results?

The orange/white read at 12v
The red/yellow was reading at 1.5v and when I activate the brake it cuts to 0.0v

Remove the two wires from the rear brake light switch, turn on the ignition switch, touch the wires together and see if the brake light illuminates.

Just tried it and had no success. Still no brake light.

Reconnect the wires to the rear brake light switch.
Trace the red/yellow wire back to the connector toward the rear, it will have about 8 wires.
Unplug that connector and check for voltage at the terminal where the red/yellow wire is while activating the brakes.
