Hello Im new to the forum. I have a 2015 Street Bob and I have custom dynamics led rear lights installed. Well the other day I noticed that my brake light was not coming on when I pressed my front or rear brake. I checked all the fuses and the led lights. The weird part was my running and signal lights along with the flashers were still working. I tried putting the old bulbs in and still no brake light. I then noticed the security light was on so i checked the code and b2161 was displayed. I cleared the code and tried both brakes again and nothing. I also have a harley security system installed, daymaker, front custom dynamics leds which work fine. The dealer installed all of the above and the brake light was working fine until a couple days ago. I also unplugged the rear lights and replugged them in and also pulled the main fuse and still nothing. I have a appointment with the dealer but just wanted some insight thanks.
With all those mods, I assume you have the brake light module that also uses signal lights if yours are red. Since you lost both systems, the electrical microswitch in the lever and hydraulic switch in the rear pedal hydraulic lne, my guess is that diode module under the seat just before rear fender.
Thanks RIPSAW, I just got the bike back from the shop and it turned out that the bike had to be reprogrammed with a Harley Technician II computer. Apparently the BCM system on my bike did not recognize my brakes. 5 mins of pressing a button on a computer and Harley charges me an hour labor. Gotta love stealerships lol.

Perhaps you should have programmed it yourself.
Reality is there are lots of MODs that the original program is not designed for. I'm all for doing as much work as I can myself, however if I run into something that requires equipment or knowledge beyond what I have, I will take it in. Whether it be the Dealership or an Indy, I take it in, I expect to pay, and most have a 1hr minimum.
Good you got it solved and the Forum is a good resource for future issues.
