Default '04 Sporty 883 Speedo/Odom Dead

Hey Guys,

I'm pretty new to bikes and even more so to electrical issues to please bear with me. I had a battery failure the other night and while trying to jump the bike my speedo/odom unit went completely dark (no light, no digits, no movement). I finally got the battery replaced and discovered that the last owner had left the ground terminal loose and arcing so I'm figuring the battery wasn't taking a charge while running and so would just run itself dead.

The problem is that the unit never came back. Bike starts like a champ, runs smooth, and all head/turn signals and dash indicators work. It's just the speedo unit still out. I all ready changed all of the main fuses. Is there a fuse in line some where or any other ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Take a meter and make sure it's getting power where it's supposed to.

Check the instrument fuse.
