Default Electrical problem?

Hey what’s up guys, I have a 2011 roadking. I am currently having a problem with the battery being dead. I just replaced it and put it back on the battery tender but the tender is still blinking red. The next day I noticed it still blinking red so I put it on my other bikes battery tender and Same problem still blinking red. Any idea on this problem? I don’t want to keep buying batteries lol

Are you sure that the battery you bought is good? Not much in between a battery tender and a battery besides the battery and a pigtail. Check that you have the pigtail wired properly (Red+ Black-), and that the battery connections are clean and tight. Check voltage at the pigtail. Then check voltage at the battery. They should be the same. No voltage at pigtail, but voltage at battery? Pigtail bad.

It's possible the new battery wasn't completely charged when installed. Put the battery on a charger, not your tender and get it fully charged. Then get it load tested.

And then consider taking the battery back if all that checks out. My tender will blink red when it’s a bad battery. I’ve never bought a bad battery but I know others that have.

Thanks for the responses guys. I ended up bringing the battery back and they gave me another one. I installed the new one and it worked out well. I guess the battery I bought was a bad one.
