08 sporty elect problem
have a sportster that has speedo goin on and off and a check eng lite doin same ?

Check ground wires first, sounds like a loose ground, is the odo working, is this while running or while engine off or both?

While running,speedo works but cut in and out

Definitely sounds like a ground wire issue then
