Default Old compensator to comp eliminator

2006 street bob with okd style compensator. I need a nee rotor due to the fact the rotor and spring housing is one piece. My plan is to run a compensator eliminator sprocket by power twins, my question is this. Will a rotor from the newer style compensator kit for a 2010 touring model work with my old stator? Bike only has 10,000 miles on it, stator works fine. Dont want to replace the stator if I dont have to. Plus I have a new rotor sitting on my shelf. I believe it’ll work just need to know if anyone knows for sure.

TIA!

It's a bad idea to eliminate the compensator the compensator on a street bike. I've replaces numerous 06 Dyna charging systems because the bolts on the rotor came out. Once they are upgraded the rotor doesn't come apart again as it's welded.

Doesn't the compensator help prevent bottom end damage in case the bike is lugged? I remember reading that unless you have the crank trued, the comp eliminator can actually cause some major problems.

Crank is done up.

Anyhow, the power twin sprocket can be used with the old rotor. U just need to pull the compensator springs out of the housing. 👍🏻
