Couldn't it have been a bad socket on the stator side?
Not sure. Stator checked out good. Under .1 ohms. No continuity with one side of VR and black lead to ground. And there is continuity when I check both sides of stator plug. Couldnt really check AC Voltage from stator because bike shut off when I opened the throttle a little.
Ziptie reference was me saying I couldnt trust Drag specialties quality even down to something as simply as a ziptie--not that drag makes them-so it was a bit a brick of an analogy
