Here is how I have the 2018 plug re-pinned now...fyi

POSITION 1 - BLUE/BROWN STRIPE

POSITION 2 - BLUE/RED STRIPE

POSITION 3 - BLUE/VIOLET STRIPE

POSITION 4 - BLACK

POSITION 5 - RED/YELLOW STRIPE

POSITION 6 - BLUE

Looks to me as if you are doing just fine! Following each wire from end to end, on both circuits, should help confirm the correct matching.

the red/yellow has power right up to the third light/control module. still no brake light. I don't get it. please help

does a 2018 light not work on a 2012 bike? I have every other light working. running lights, turn signals, just no brake lights. . ugh

I ran a ground wire from fender to bike. still no luck 😣 please help

I don't think you have enough information to figure out what wires need to go where. You need to follow each wire to the source on each wiring diagram and see what function each wire serves, not just which terminal it hooks to on the module.

I'm thinking that the fender modules are different and maybe your issue.
