Default Custom Harness

Hello again...If I keep posting eventually someone might read this that could help me lol...anyway I have located the rear harness schematics from the 2018 and the 2012 rear harness for a touring bike. See pic. I was wondering if I could get your advice if I were to cut the connector for the 2012 that connects to the bike and reconnect it to the harness for the 2018 that goes to the control/3rd light module. What color wires would you connect? I might try re-pinning the connector also.

I see the connector for the 2018 reads 6 through 1 left to right yet the 2012 reads 1 through 6 left to right...that kind of confuses me lol

I have no specific knowledge of your issue but wondering aloud that there were logic/architecture changes in 2014 and later for the ecm and it may be possible its not as simple as wiring up newer/older lights to newer/older bikes.

I wonder that same thing. I checked voltage at male plug on bike this morning and everything seems right. I'm going to reconnect 2018 harness tonight and check voltage at other end of harness. other then that I'm out of ideas.
