Default Headlight problems

Hey ive got a 2011 deluxe with a headlight issue. My low beam and passing lamps wont turn on. They quit working intermittently on my way to sturgis last summer and now wont work at all. Ive checked all connectors and wires and everything looks good. Now suspecting the circuit board in the dimmer switch but cant find a new one and have no idea how to test it. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi from the UK and welcome to HDF. It can be quite a challenge to solve silly problems like this one! Does your bike have any mods, such as aftermarket handlebars or apes? Have you disturbed the handlebar switches at any time? Unfortunately it is very easy to damage or trap a wire with such changes, which don't always show themselves straight away.

If the wiring goes through the bars that is another possible source of damage to wires, so consider checking electrical continuity of each wire. I had a mysterious wiring problem on a bike a while ago, when turning on the right turn signal. It wasn't every time, but could stop the engine while riding. Took hours to find and cure. Find a local indy who can trouble-shoot for you, if you find you're stuck.

As some driving lights work in unison with the low beam and both aren't working and you have no power at the H4 socket in the bucket the next move is to check the switch.

Open the perch and use a digital multi meter.

I just found this connector under the tank not plugged in also, has red/white wire and a black wire. Im assuming this could have something to do with my problem

Check codes https://dgcustomcycle.com/tech/harle...es-04-present/

According to the schematics your bike has CAN bus, you push the Hi/Low beam switch and a signal is sent to the BCM the BCM then powers up the lights. The right and left controls are now modules and I don't think the boards are available but you might call your dealer.

Here's the schematics i found:

That connector you found is for the fender tip lights on Heratage Softails.
