I installed a Harley Davidson security system (part #68200-00C) on my 2003 Electraglide today. After configuring the Key Fob everything seemed to work. Alarm turned on and off like it should. I started the bike it ran for a second and quit. It starts runs for a second and quits. I took the security system TSM out and put original TSM back in, the bike starts and runs fine. Put the security one in and it will only run for a second and quits.
Anyone experience this?

 

I think I found the answer in the stickies section, there has to be a password learning for the new component.

 

I had my factory security system fail like that on my 2002 FLHTCUI. The bike would start and then shut down in a second or two. The dealer said they had to marry the ECM & the security system.

 

part of this discussion explains why I had such a time changing my pin on my new RGS. I absolutely straddled my seat, and turned my handlebars, and put up the jiffy stand. I got it eventually, honestly I don't think my owners manual says anything about those steps, I guess it should be obvious, to most anyways. ;
