Cruise indicator flashing

Bike is an '08 RK . Went for a ride,came home and was putting the bike in the garage when the cruise indicator,on the speedo began to flash . Problem is,bike doesn't have cruise control! Light flashed several times and then went out. Any ideas?

Cruise light is sometimes used in diagnostics. You might look at the Electronics Service Manual for help.

Did not know that. Hasn't come on again since I posted. I have the factory service manual, l'll have to see if I can find the diagnostics pertaining to that. Thanks.

did the cruise still function??
fly by wire??? if i remember right (?!?) when the cruise is set and the info from the two throttle pots are not what is expected, the mil light will illuminate, this info is relayed to the throttle body position sensor which acts like a wheatstone bridge circuit.
