HELP 2008 Heritage classic stator replacement
I've done the test on the stator and it is coming back as the stator being grounded. I added a fairing to this bike and a amplifier with six and a half inch speakers and I think that might have overloaded this charging system. what I was wanting to know is if I replace the stator with a 50 amp unit will I need to replace the rotor and regulator as well or can I run the 50 amp fine?
I ride my bike year round so I am going to be useing heated gear on this bike too. I am on a tight budget and I can't afford to replace the whole system so if nothing else I'll have to replace it with a factory stator take off my fairing and wait until I have the money to go back in and replace everything.
I believe I already have a 3 phase system but correct me if I'm wrong. I have a three wire plug coming off of my factory stator. I have also replaced the battery.
This is the stator I was looking at.
