So a lil about my bike its a 91 evo Frankenstein softail iv been wanting this bike for the last 5 years and finally got it. I rebuilt the motor new ultima wiring harness and it had the ultima ignition. My problem is the end of last year before the tear down it started up and then shut down i messed with it for a week then thought ill try something i wasnt getting spark so i took a jumper from the neg post on the coil to the neg post of the battery fired up pulled the jumper off right away and stayed running shut it down and fired up again without the jumper so after the rebuild and new wiring it still doin the same thing its getting on my nerves and i cant seem to figure it out the only thing i can thank of is the ignition in the cone is bad i can see the timing to off but i could be wrong this is my first harley and i love this one of a kind bike
So i took the after noon and found the the ignition in the cone wasn't getting good ground i cleaned the area where the ignition sits and bolts down and spark fires on first rev
