well do you have 12 volts at the coil -- if not it could be the ign switch jumper wire broke under the dash top on the ignition switch right side

if it has 12 volts than --- when the motor is cranking the test light should blink on one side of the coil not both you need to confirm this to move foward -- jz

I'd say it's a wiring issue if you don't have spark and know the parts are good but honestly we need a bit more info like what ignition do you have ? and have you followed the proper set up and testing for it ? Pictures if you don't know what it is and I can tell where to go from there .

what kind of ignition system do you have. i had a Malory optical trigger pickup and a stock coil. the coil went bad because it was the wrong amp, wasn't compatible. before i knew about it i put a new HD coil on it. not long later the pickup in the nosecone came apart and shorted out then burnt out the wires going to it.. i got a dyna-S ign. pickup and all new wiring, but still had the stock coil that wasn't compatible so it burnt out in a few weeks.. finally i figured out the problem. dyna ign. was replaced under warranty,i bought the matching coil and never had a problem again in 10 years.. you have to make sure everything is in good shape and matched up. a lot of times when something is upgraded, everything ends up getting mixed wrong.. i also had a Acell points with some kind of microchip for the condenser.. it never did work rite. standard set of points are always the most simple/trouble free setup as long as you clean and adjust them rite once and a while.. then again, i would highly suggest a DYNA-S electronic system

is pulser a brand? not familiar with that. but the voltage idealy should be 12.5-13 volts. with elect start and cranking it would probably drop a little but shouldn't go under 11-11.5 v.. what do you mean by grounded? the voltmeter?,yes. the coil?,no.. you test voltage on the positive side of the coil. if you are getting a pulse signal out of the negative side of the coil then the points or electronic ign. is working.
