I bought a rear back stop light assembly and I hooked it up and now Its not lighting up and no stop light but have juice going to the light assembly and I toke it off and put it direct and it comes on but not when I hook up on the bike I am busting my head on this all day any advice please. It's 93 Harley Davidson 883.
There should be 2 wires that go to the tail lamp assembly.
One wire is brake lamp
One wire is running lamp
The unit is grounded at the mounting points.
To check the ground, connect voltmeter positive probe to positive battery post, connect voltmeter negative probe to the ground point where the unit mounts, you should see less than a half volt difference from actual battery voltage.
