Just pull the electrical connector off the switch, and clean the contacts on the switch and the terminals on the wires. You may just have a poor connection.
After you clean the contacts and terminals, take the bike out and get it hot, see if the problem persists.
If the light doesn`t work, pull the connector off and read continuity of the switch with your ohmmeter (you need to do this while the light is not working properly).
Since it seems to be an issue when hot, it is probably right in the switch or its connections.

Cleaned the terminals, put electrical grease on it and now neutral super bright. Can't ride test yet. Still have broken belt.
