Molex connectors
If this has been covered sorry for the repeat. I have a 2010 Road King that I am doing a handlebar and controls and lower fork leg change. I got an HCC 14-inch apes and installed the new controls and wires. The ends on the kit wire are barrel connectors and I have pin connectors. So in changing them over I tried to do it without buying extra tools. Big mistake. The clearance for the Molex lock on the pins is very tight. I thought I could get it done with needle-nose players and I was wrong. I managed to do a good enough job to get them into the connector fitting but upon trying to lock the connector I was defeated. Point of the story ---- don't be a cheap-*** like me buy the crimper it's less than 20 bucks. I will be redoing 14 wire connectors and had to buy 2 new Molex connectors later this week.
