Gremlin is back with different symptoms a mere 1500 miles later. Previously voltage would go low so cheaped out and went with aftermarket VR with good warranty. When bike came out of winter hibernation I had a engine light when I started it that went away shortly after. Read codes and it revealed O2 sensor and ABS pump open circuit, Took for a short drive and engine light went away, bike runs fine and brakes are fine. My background lighting in my speedo n tach went out. Cruise control light out and cruise not working, 6th gear light not working. Noticed voltage gauge pegged out 16+ Shut bike off and restart all the gauge lights come back on and flicker on/off a few times then go out for good.
Pulled seat and checked battery voltage while idling, measures 15.6 which is too high. Guessing the cheap aftermarket VR is crapping already. Even though VR had a lifetime warranty I'm heading to dealer tomorrow, gonna spend the $$ and pick up a new factory harley VR. Nice weather ahead this week to test

Those lifetime warranties are enticing. Until you start spending all your free time replacing that free part.
