2016 FXDB adding an led @ rear brake. Will it trigger CEL ?
Im not partial to a side mount lic plate at up ( Street Bob). Im thinking of adding a limp sausage tail light on the rear fender. The side brake/turn lights will remain, but I will relocate the lic plate. The new tail light ( now being a 3rd rear light) will ( I assume) have to come on when I brake, and ack as a plate light. I can do this w/2 small LEDs. Will this extra voltage pull ( very minor) trigger a CEL ? Will waiting for planet alignment help ? Yoda ? Thanks

The additional draw from two small LEFs is very unlikely to cause a problem. After installing them turn on the flashers for 10 minutes so the ecm can "adjust" to the new load. Works the same when you go all LEDs and reduce the load.

Thanks NODYNA. If I read your post right could a person swap out the incandescent bulbs for LEDs 1157s ? Turn on the flashers to learn voltage and work right? Or too little of a draw/thinks bulbs are burned out ? Appreciate your time/replies.
