Default Stator Connector

I have been trying to get a pic from my phone onto computer but no luck
Guess I need to get one of the Gkids over here but I think I can explain it well enough.

2008 UC 50 amp 3 phase stator.
The terminals have cleaned up nicely and look good
The rubber part of the round 3 pin connector that goes into the regulator is split some. Not all way, only where one of the female pin is.
The way it is made leads me to think if I can find a connector it will need to be pigtailed.

I can find 2 pin and 4pin ( 4 pin showing for shovel era ?? ) with ease but not a 3 pin A search for HD alternator plug connector yielded more results but no joy

Hoping someone has run into this and might have some information on where one can be gotten.
If not I'm open to suggestions for a repair / patch job

Replacing the stator right now is out of the question. I'll simple have to patch it up before that happens

Thanks for your time folks

go to a gm dealer and get a weather tight connector and solder in. canon plug connectors is another option. does not have to be moco.

LOL I think I have a couple of those. .Well 2 pin I bet. Would have to look
The deal is the connector from the stator plugs straight into the regulator.
The regulator doesn't have a pigtailed connector to splice a different kind of a connector to it.

Now Now Drag Specialty has a premium regulator that does have pigtailed connectors.
I have a Cycle Electric reg. on the way but it's gonna be the same as OEM

Unless I'm miss understanding your suggestion
Thanks WP

if your reg has a socket and not a pigtail type and it is screwed, seems like a new one is in order.
a picture of said unit would help.

Sorry about the size Took pic before cleaning it up. after a bit work it looks good except for the tear.
Crap I'll try again

The tear is only the length of the terminal

Starting to think about sealing the tear with some kinda RTV or similar. Then clamping it size, let dry. Use a good amount dielectric grease when plugging back together.

Just thinking through some things. Find a used stator maybe. I got feelers out local for one.

Do you think the plug got hot? A poor or dirty contact causes high resistance and heat, could this be the reason your reg went bad?

When I first took it apart I thought so. Hence the reason for the pic. thought ok gotta replace this connector.
Went to cleaning things up and kinda started changing my mind.
The dang thing cleaned up very well. Between De Oxit and emery cloth I have a reasonable amount of confidence it's OK

Thank you

Morning coffee shop conversation. The dielectric grease on it from previous reg replacement sure mad it look bad.
It was discussed about the possibility of a poor connection at the one terminal.
Consensus was it most likely would have taken out the stator along with the regulator.
The one terminal cleaned up so well and easily it was a surprise, it just doesn't have tell tale signs of arching or bad connection. Pitted and such.

You and the folks here thoughts on is are appreciated.

You don't want to use a good amount of dielectric grease, just a tiny bit will do, excess dielectric grease can cause a hydro lock preventing a good connection. Also I always plug and unplug them a few times after adding the grease to scrape the terminals and spread the dielectric grease.
